This app connects adults for live one-to-one video chat. It is intended only for people aged 18 or older.

This privacy policy explains how Vibe Call (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our live random video chat application. The app connects adults for one-to-one live video calls. By using Vibe Call you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who we are

Vibe Call is a mobile app that matches two people who are ready to talk and places them in a live video call. It is intended only for people aged 18 or older. The Android application id is com.chatwave.random_video_chat. A copy of this policy is also available inside the app so you can read it without leaving Vibe Call.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Vibe Call. Before sign-in we ask you to confirm your age. Random stranger video is not for children. If we learn that a user is under 18 we will remove that account. If you believe a minor is using the app, report them from inside a call or through the Google Play listing.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, profile photo and Google account identifier. During a call the app uses the camera and microphone. We also store people you block, reports you file, and the country or room you pick in the lobby. Advertising identifiers are used to show ads through Google AdMob.

When you sign in with Google we receive the information Google shares for that sign-in: your name, profile photo, and a Google account identifier. We create a Firebase account from that sign-in and store a user profile so you can return on the same or another device.

On your profile we store your display name, photo URL, the country and room you last picked in the lobby, people you have blocked, and a last-seen time. While you are waiting to be matched we temporarily store a queue entry with your user id so another person can be paired with you. That waiting entry is removed when a match is made, when you leave, or when it expires.

If you report someone we store the report: who filed it, who was reported, the reason you chose, the call channel if one exists, and when it was filed. We also save the age confirmation and lobby choices on the device using local app storage so the age gate and your room selection still work if you are not signed in yet.

During a live call the app uses the camera and microphone. Video and audio are sent through the call so the other person can see and hear you. We do not record, download, or keep a copy of the live video or audio on our servers. The other person on the call can see and hear whatever you show and say while the call is connected, the same as any video chat.

To start a call, the app sends a signed-in identity token to our call token server so we can prove you are a signed-in user and issue a short-lived video token. That request is made over HTTPS. Advertising identifiers on the device may be used by Google AdMob to show ads, as described below.

How we use it

Your account is used to sign you in, remember blocks, and keep the community safer. Video and audio are sent through Agora so the other person can see and hear you — they are not stored by us. Reports are reviewed so we can ban people who break the rules. Ads fund the app.

How we use information

We use your account to sign you in, keep you signed in, show your name and photo where needed, and remember your lobby choices. We use the block list so you are not matched again with someone you blocked. We use reports to review conduct and to restrict or remove people who break the rules. We use the matchmaking queue only to pair two people who are waiting at the same time. We use the age confirmation to keep the app limited to adults. We use ads to fund the app so basic calling can stay free.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use live video or audio to train models, build a public profile, or target ads. Ads are never shown over a live video feed.

Live video and audio

Live calls are powered by Agora. While you are in a call, video and audio travel through Agora’s network so both people can see and hear each other. Those streams exist for the length of the call. We do not operate a recording feature and we do not store call recordings. Agora processes the stream in order to deliver the call. When the call ends, the live feed stops.

Ads

Google AdMob may collect a device advertising ID, IP address and coarse location to show banner, interstitial and rewarded ads. Ads are not shown over a live video feed. See Google’s advertising policy for how they use this data.

Vibe Call shows banner ads, full-screen interstitial ads, and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and app information, and data about how ads are shown or clicked. Google uses that information to deliver and measure ads according to Google’s advertising and privacy policies. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings. Your first chats may be free; after that a rewarded ad may be used to continue calling. Ads are not placed on top of the live camera feed.

Sharing

We share data with Google (sign-in, Firebase, AdMob) and Agora (live video). We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share information with

We share information with the services that make the app work. Google provides sign-in, Firebase authentication, Firestore storage for profiles, blocks, the waiting queue, and reports, and AdMob for advertising. Agora carries live video and audio. Our token server receives a Firebase identity token so it can issue a call token. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies, on servers that may be outside your country.

We may also disclose information if we believe it is required by law, to protect a person from serious harm, or to investigate abuse, including reports that a user appears to be under 18. We do not sell personal information to data brokers or other advertisers beyond the ad SDK described above.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from the menu on the home screen. That removes your profile and block list. Reports you already filed may be kept so moderation still works.

Permissions

The app asks for camera and microphone access because a video call cannot work without them. Those permissions are used during a live call. The app uses the internet to sign in, match users, load ads, and carry the call. On Android the app may also use the advertising ID for AdMob and Bluetooth connect so call audio can route to a paired headset. You can refuse camera or microphone permission; you will not be able to start a video call until they are granted.

How long we keep information

Your profile, lobby choices, and block list stay until you delete your account or we remove the account for a rules or age violation. Waiting-queue entries are short-lived and are cleared when you leave the queue or after a short expiry. Reports may be kept after you delete your account so we can still review abuse and keep bans in place. Live video and audio are not stored by us. Ads data is handled by Google according to its own retention practices. Local flags such as age confirmation stay on the device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from the menu on the home screen. Deleting the account removes your profile and block list and signs you out of Google for this app. Reports you already filed may be kept so moderation still works. After deletion you will need to sign in again to use Vibe Call, which creates a new account.

Security

We use industry-standard services to sign you in and to store account data. Call tokens are issued over HTTPS and live media is sent through Agora rather than stored on our app servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Other people on a call can see and hear you, so do not share information on camera that you would not share with a stranger.

Children

This app is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor is using the app, report them.

This app is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has used Vibe Call, report it. We will delete the associated account when we become aware of it.

Your choices

You can choose not to sign in, in which case you cannot use matching or calls. You can revoke camera and microphone access in system settings. You can skip or close ads subject to how Google’s ad SDK works on your device. You can block and report other users. You can sign out or delete your account from the home screen menu. You can reset the advertising ID in Android settings. You can read this policy inside the app at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, the law, or our providers change. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Vibe Call after an update means you accept the revised policy. The current version is always available at this page and in the app.
